We Won An International Green World Ambassador Award!

We were delighted to once again return to the Houses Of Parliament to collect an International Green World Ambassador Award for the work that we have done at ESB at Carrington Power Station. 

Our achievements include reducing Co2 and transport to and around the Carrington Power Station site and neighbourhood in the form of waste vehicles, increasing recycling options, and reducing the total amount of waste produced. We have also introduced the seperate removal of mixed recycling and diverted the general waste to waste to energy.

Following a complete chemical analysis of the sludge based waste produced within the pumping station, we were also able to reclassify the EWC Waste Code which ensured further disposal cost savings and a cleaner waste disposal method, amongst other innovations.
